A fictional record label built from real musical obsessions.
Human ideas. Imagined artists. AI-assisted sound.
The tapes are still being sorted.
01 / The Story
Bakelite Records is a fictional music label created around imagined artists, visual stories and original songs.
The voices, covers and archives belong to an invented world, but the direction is human: lyrics, taste, references, editing, structure, selection, visual identity and final decisions.
AI is part of the process, but not the author of the universe.
We are not replacing musicians.
We are inventing fictional ones, the way cinema invents characters.
02 / Artists
A catalogue of imagined artists, reconstructed sessions and voices from different corners of the Bakelite universe.

A warm soul voice from the imagined golden age of Bakelite Records.

A powerful voice for dignity, tension and collective fire.

French songs, intimate weather and quiet emotional storms.

Clean tension, late-night elegance and soft modern grooves.

Rhodes, Wurlitzer and small chords with large consequences.

The instrumental house band. No voices, just motion.
03 / Unverified
Fragments, rumours and studio notes from a label that never quite existed, until it did.
Not everything in the archive can be verified. That does not mean it isn’t true.
FILE 001

05 / The Method
Our principle
Bakelite Records is shaped by a small group of human ears, hands and obsessions.
We write, direct, select, reject, arrange, edit, imagine and refine.
The lyrics are written by humans. The stories are written by humans. The artists, visual worlds, references and emotional direction are imagined by humans.
We also gather recorded material: instrumental ideas, grooves, sounds, textures, voices, sketches, references and fragments. These human inputs are fed into the machine, then shaped, questioned, rejected, rebuilt and directed until we hear what we are looking for.
The tools are modern, but the decisions remain human.
Every song begins with a human intention: a mood, a rhythm, a lyric, an image, an instrument, a reference, a memory.
AI helps transform the material, but taste decides what survives.
Lyrics, stories, artist identities and emotional direction.
Grooves, instrumental ideas, textures, voices, sketches and sonic fragments.
Selection, rejection, editing, arrangement, taste and final decisions.
The machine may generate.
The humans decide.
